The Cyber Essentials framework has been created by CREST, under the authorization of GCHQ, the information security arm of GCHQ.

It can be obtained after a more complex process of external and internal independent testing and it represents a guarantee that a company has gone the extra mile to ensure an outstanding level of infrastructure protection.
